Anne-Catherine Gillet

Soprano

Belgian soprano Anne-Catherine Gillet trained at the Conservatoires of Brussels and Liège.

Her opera appearances have included Mélisande, Sophie Werther and Constance Les Dialogues des Carmelites for L’Opéra Royal de Wallonie; La Princesse L’Enfant et les Sortilèges and Musetta La Bohème at La Monnaie and Musetta La Bohème at the Grand Théâtre de Genève. For the Netherlands Opera she has sung Gianetta L’Elisir d’Amore and at the Théâtre du Capitole, Toulouse: Zdenka Arabella, Lauretta Gianni Schicchi and the title role of L’Incoronazione di Poppea and scored a great success last season as Laoula in Chabrier’s L’Étoile for Opernhaus Zürich. Ms Gillet counts amongst the conductors with whom she has worked Ottavio Dantone, John eltio Gardiner, Kazushi Ono, Antonio Pappano, Christophe Rousset, Marcello Viotti and Alberto Zedda.

Included in her projects for the 2007/08 season are Musetta in Bordeaux, L’Étoile at the Opéra Comique and Sophie Der Rosenkavalier in Toulouse.
