Joan Martín-RoyoBaritoneJoan Martín-Royo is quickly building and eye-catching opera career with roles at the Gran Teatro Liceu in his native Barcelona, Palau de les Arts de Valencia, Opera de Oviedo, La Monnaie, Teatro Carlo Felice, Genova, Théâtre du Châtelet, Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Teatro Regio di Parma, Opéra de Monte Carlo and Teatro Municipal de Santiago, Chile. On the concert platform he has enjoyed appearances with The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Al Ayre Español, Nederlands Radio Kamer Filharmonie, Ensemble Matheus and the Hungarian Radio Orchestra. A keen recitalist, Martín-Royo has collaborated with distinguished accompanists such as Helmut Deutsch, Dalton Baldwin and Roger Vignoles performing Schubert, Wolf, Loewe, Beethoven, Ibert, Ravel, Poulenc and Montsalvatge. Amongst Joan Martín-Royo’s 10/11 projects are his UK opera début singing Dandini La Cenerentola for Glyndebourne on Tour and the world première of Xavier Bengue's, Yo, DaliI at the Teatro de la Zarzuela, Madrid in which he will sing the title role. He will make his US début with the National Symphony Orchestra, Washington DC / Rinaldo Alessandrini performing Messiah. Representation: UK
