Kim Sheehan

Soprano

Irish-born soprano Kim Sheehan trained at the Dublin Institute of Technology and the Royal College of Music where her studies were supported by a Veronica Mansfield Scholarship, Nora Popple Award and John Small Bursary.

Her roles at the Royal College of Music included Susanne Le Nozze di Figaro; Drusilla L’Incoronazione di Poppea; Le Feu L’Enfant et les Sortilèges and Adele Die Fledermaus. She has sung Barbarina for Grange Park Opera and Ciprigna in Martìn y Soler’s La Capriciosa Coretta and Vespina in Haydn’s L’Infedelta Delusa for Bampton Classical Opera. At the Wexford Opera festival she has appeared as Ein Mächen in Walter Braunfels’ Prinzessin Brambilla (recorded for Marco Polo), Contessa de Folville Il Viaggio a Reims, and Adina L’Elisir d’Amore. Her repertoire also includes Fulvia in Handel’s Ezio and the title role of The Cunning Little Vixen. Her directors have included James Conway, Paul Curran and Stephen Langridge.

Kim is currently continuing her training as a member of the International Opera Studio, Zurich.
