Nicholas KraemerConductorEqually at home in front of modern and period orchestras, Nicholas Kraemer enjoys a busy schedule directing from the keyboard and conducting throughout Europe, North America and Japan. He currently holds the positions of Permanent Guest Conductor of the Manchester Camerata and Principal Guest Conductor of Music of the Baroque , Chicago. Kraemer’s concert engagements have included the BBC Scottish Symphony, BBC National Orchestra of Wales and BBC Philharmonic, the Northern Sinfonia and Hallé orchestras. He has also conducted the Bergen Philharmonic, Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and Philharmonia Baroque. Other major ensembles with whom he has worked include the Berlin Philharmonic (Handel’s Belshazzar) the Rotterdam Philharmonic (St John Passion).
Opera engagements have taken him to Paris, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Geneva and Marseilles.
Amongst recent projects have been The Magic Flute and Handel’s Jephtha
for English National Opera, Agrippina for Theater Aachen and
L’Incoronazione di Poppea for Central City Opera, Colorado.
