Samuel EvansBaritoneA former choral scholar at King’s College, Cambridge, Samuel Evans recently completed his studies at the Royal College of Music International Opera School. His operatic roles have included Le Grand Prêtre Castor et Pollux at the Salle Pleyel and Killian Der Freischütz at the Opéra Comique, both under Sir John Eliot Gardiner, The Forester Cunning Little Vixen at the Ryedale Festival, Garibaldo Rodelinda in the London Handel Festival, Don Alfonso Cosi fan Tutte and Jupiter Orpheus in the Underworld at the Royal College of Music. Amongst his concert appearances are Bach Christmas Oratorio at the Spitalfields Festival and the B minor Mass in Leipzig and Prague with the English Baroque Soloists/Gardiner. His repertoire includes Monteverdi Vespers, Bach St Matthew Passion and Magnificat, Haydn Theresienmesse, Mozart Requiem and Vesperae Solennes de Confessore and Rutter Mass of the Children. He has given recitals at the Wigmore Hall and St John’s Smith Square. Samuel’s current plans include his BBC Proms début for Der Freischütz/Gardiner, and Mozart C Minor Mass with the Northern Sinfonia/Thomas Zehetmair. Representation: Worldwide
