Lithuanian mezzo-soprano Laura Zigmantaitė studied at the Academy of Music and Theatre of Lithuania and the Royal Academy of Music in London and recently completed her training at the National Opera Studio, London. She has received awards from the John Kenneth Adams, Leverhulme and Simon Fletcher Trusts. Her competition successes include the International Chamber Music "Beatrice"; International Musical Eisteddfod, Isabel Jay Prize and the Mozart Singing Competition.

Laura has performed in Lithuania, the UK, Germany, Canada, Italy, Poland, Russian, Latvia and Norway collaborating with conductors including Gianlucca Marciano, Jane Glover, Peter Robinson and directors Dalia Ibelhaptaite, Jean-Claude Berrutti, William Kerley, Christopher Cowell and Rodula Gaitanou.

Amongst her opera roles are Valletto L'Incoronazione di Poppea for the State Music Theatre of Klaipeda; Third Lady Die Zauberflöte, Glasha Katya Kabanova, The Singer Manon Lescaut for Vilnius City Opera; Rosweisse Die Walkure, Ida Die Fledermaus, Giovanna Ernani and Cherubino Le nozze di Figaro for Lithuanian National Theatre of Opera and Ballet and Zerlina Don Giovanni for Artis Opera Vilnius. Student roles included Cherubino, Valletto and Hanna A May Night. She has sung Miss Bentson Lakme for the Christine Collins Young Artists Programme at Opera Holland Park as well as Governess The Queen of Spades for the company. She recently sang Nerone Poppea with the Opera de Lyon Young Artists Programme.

Laura is a Scottish Opera Emerging Artist where her 17/18 season roles include Flora La Traviata, Dryad Ariadne auf Naxos, roles in Greek and Laura in a concert performance of Iolanta. She returns to Opera Holland Park to sing Dryad Ariadne auf Naxos.
