Chinese soprano He Wu studied at the Royal Academy of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Royal College of Music International Opera School completing her training at the National Opera Studio where she was supported by the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. She won the Voice of China European Competition 2014, the Lies Askonas Singing Competition 2015 and was a finalist in the Kathleen Ferrier Competition 2016. He was a Young Artist at the International Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg Festival 2015 and Samling Scholar 2016.

He’s opera engagements include Receptionist - Tansy Davies Between Worlds for English National Opera; Diana Giove in Argo at the London Handel Festival, Amor Orfeo ed Euridice for Longborough Festival Opera.

On the concert platform she has sung Mahler Symphony No 2 with BBC Symphony Orchestra, Beethoven Symphony No 9 with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra / Philippe Jordan, Beethoven Mass in C and Choral Fantasy at St John’s Smith Square and the UK première of Xian Xing Hai Yellow River Cantata with the London Chinese Philharmonic Choir.

He won First Prize in the CCTV- MTV Awards each year between 2005 and 2007 and was chosen to sing before the First Lady of China, Madam Peng, on her visit to the UK in 2015.

Her 17/18 season plans include Daiyu in Bright Sheng Dream of the Red Chamber on tour in China and Beethoven 9 with the Chinese National Symphony Orchestra / Muhai Tang.
