Anne-Catherine Gillet will take the role of Princess Laoula in Chabrier’s L’Etoile
in a new production by Macha Makeïeff and Jérôme Deschamps at the Opera Comique.
The performances will be conducted by Sir John Eliot Gardiner, with whom Ms Gillet had a great success in
the same role in Zurich last season. Performances are scheduled for December 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 20,
22 & 23.
Later this season she sings Susanna in Nice, Sophie Rosenkavalier in Toulouse and concert
performances of Handel’s Rodrigo. Further ahead Ms Gillet will be making appearances
at the Opéra de Paris, Chorégies d’Orange and returning to the Opéra Comique
and Toulouse in works by Rameau, Massenet, Bizet & Mascagni.
