David Hill - Epique Elias

David Hill scored a great success jumping in at short notice to conduct Mendelssohn’s Elias with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg on February 29:

“Epique Elias”

“Mendelssohn’s oratorio Elias on Friday at the Palais de La Musique, found a particularly enthusiastic public who greeted the splendid performance of the Choeur et Orchestra du Philharmonique Strasbourg directed by the English conductor David Hill. The director of the BBC Singers stepped in at short notice but his solid choral experience put everyone at ease…David Hill’s talent was to combine the choir, orchestra and soloists perfectly infusing the performance with lively movement throughout the two hour concert.”
