Classical music minus the rules comes to Brixton as part of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment’s Night Shift series of pub gigs. Zoë Brookshaw, soprano and Elizabeth Kenny, lute, perform Trials and Tribulations, a programme of John Dowland, John Blow and Henry Purcell at The Windmill . The event will be live streamed from 20:30 BST on the OAE’s YouTube channel.

Exchanging a decidedly secular for a sacred venue, the duo will repeat the programme at the Church of St Ottilien on July 17 as part of the Stimmen Festival in Lörrach, Baden-Württemberg (home to the Milka chocolate factory).
