Following the recent success of Handel Orlando for Welsh National Opera (Guardian ****, The Times ****) director Harry Fehr jumps to the 19th century with a staging of Ambroise Thomas Mignon for New Sussex Opera. Conducted by Nicholas Jenkins the performances take place on November 11 (Lewes), 22 (Eastbourne) and 24 (London, Cadogan Hall).
