Having sung the title role of L’Ormindo at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse and Telemaco Il Ritorno d’Ulisse at The Roundhouse for the company tenor Samuel Boden will make his Royal Opera House main stage début on May 10 when he creates the roles of Boy and Young King in George Benjamin and Martin Crimp’s new opera  Lessons in love and Violence. The production by Katie Mitchell will be conducted by the composer with further performances at Covent Garden on May 12, 15, 18, 24 & 26 before being staged as part of the Holland Festival on June 25, 27, 29, July 1, 3 & 5.
