Artistic Director of Longborough Festival Opera Polly Graham directs Purcell The Fairy Queen at the Festival. Opening on July 29 there are further performances on July 30, August 1 & 3. The production features Emerging Artists and uses the dramatic framework from Shakespeare’s text. The newly-commission arrangement of the score, blending baroque and folk music, will be co-directed by baroque violinist and composer Naomi Burrell and composer and conductor Harry Sever.
