Bethany Horak-Hallett Debuts at the Royal Swedish Opera in Le Nozze di Figaro

Mezzo-soprano Bethany Horak-Hallett is set to make her eagerly anticipated Royal Swedish Opera debut as Cherubino in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro. The new production, directed by Linus Fellbom and conducted by the renowned Alan Gilbert, opens in Stockholm on January 25 and runs until March 20.

Bethany’s portrayal of the love-struck page has garnered critical acclaim in her celebrated performance at Garsington Opera. The press has praised her Cherubino as “poised and lustrous” (The Arts Desk), with MusicOMH naming her “the pick of the bunch.” Opera Today remarked that she “inhabits Cherubino’s breeches as if they were made for her,” while Planet Hugill lauded her performance as “simply glorious.”
