Tenor Guy Cutting and pianist George Ireland will perform a recital entitled Whither Shall I wander’ on July 17 at New College, Oxford, July 23 at Acland Burghley School, London and at noon on July 28 in Asciano, Tuscany as part of the Crete Senesi Festival. Alongside Vaughan Williams’ Songs of Travel Guy and George will perform works by Britten, Gurney, Howells, Warlock and Jonathan Dove. They will also première In the Belovèd Hour, a cycle written for them by Piers Connor Kennedy setting texts by Robert Louis Stevenson from the same collection as Songs of Travel.
