Harpsichordist and director Steven Devine returns to Malta to direct the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment for a performance of Handel Aci, Galatea e Polifemo at the Valetta Baroque Festival on January 21. He will be joined by mezzo Bethany Horak-Hallett as Galatea. You can view an except from an earlier performance here.

Devine is a popular visitor to the island and on January 22 gives a harpsichord recital of works by Rameau as well as a song recital with soprano Kate Semmens. “… the OAE, under Devine’s meticulous direction, set the scene ….
